Job Title: Data Governance and Data Quality Engineer

Institutional Technology group in Brokerage is looking for Data Governance and Data Quality engineer, to join its Data Quality and Metadata Management team. Seeking a high energy and can-do attitude candidate who will work on implementing DQ rules and on boarding IT systems and regulatory program requirements to its state of the art (constantly evolving) Data Quality and Metadata Management platform. The platform has grown more than 400% in last 2 year and now is used across various departments in the firm, with the same growth forecast for 2018. The candidate will be part of the professional services team of Data Quality and Metadata Management product / platform and lead the on-boarding activities of various applications across RISK, Institutional Securities, Finance, Compliance and Operations technology and their business groups that want to start DQ program. The role will start primarily by working with Finance business unit and IT department leads across the firm and help create DQ rules for CCAR (all schedules 14Q, 14M and 14Y) for the new CFO attestation process. This is a unique opportunity that will help the person see the panoramic view of data across a large financial firm like Brokerage and various aspects of Trading, Booking, Risk, PNL and Accounting. The candidate will work with clients to load their data models and relevant metadata into the platform, work with internal core team of developers to enhance the product / platform, based on the user needs and requirements, and help building DQ rules in SQL against various data sources like DB2, Greenplum, Teradata and Hadoop. He/She will help design the next generation of features required on the platform based on their technical and business knowledge and client interactions. The candidate should be extremely proficient in data modeling, understanding data models, SQL development across various database technologies, understanding of Finance domain data and client and user communication. Some hands on experience of scripting with Perl or Python, Linux environment and investigating batch processes will be a big plus.
