Required Shift 5:30 AM-2:00 pm M-F
-Responsible for final review and timely recording of all title documents submitted for recording with the County Recorder's Office.
-Assists with issues of a moderately complex nature.
-Proof read all documents submitted for recording for accuracy, completeness, compliance with technical and legal requirements and accept or reject documents accordingly
-Respond to telephone inquiries about pending records.
-Read, Comprehend and implement information contained in technical memos together with other information affecting title commitments, title policies and recording practices
-Make final decisions about the adequacy of documents submitted for recording
-Perform other duties as may be required or requested by supervisor May assist with training new associates.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and title/escrow related software. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
