Selected individuals have the opportunity to assist the Soybean and Corn Research Program with the following:
• Operations related to field trials such note taking, combine and manual harvesting of soybean and corn research plots and nurseries
• Computer related activities and provide support for testing activities
• Threshing, seed quality, evaluation and seed cleaning
• Seed preparation for winter nurseries
• Some off site travel during harvest season may be possible
• May operate farm equipment such as a tractor, combine or thresher
• Participate in all Safety training and follow Safety policies
• Participate in QMS training and assist team to maintain Quality Standards
This is a great opportunity to get some hands on industry experience in both commercial soybean and corn research programs.

Required Skills/Experience:
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
• Ability to work effectively with teams or independently and to take daily direction from supervisors/managers
• Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions
• Activities will require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing
• Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize tasks
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Experience utilizing MS Word and MS Excel
Desired Skills/Experience:
• Field Research experience
• Knowledge in agriculture, understanding of farm equipment operation

Additional Info:
- Safety Boots, safety glasses and gloves when required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- 40 hours per week with possible OT.
- Driving is required. MUST have CDL license; will be required to drive a truck with gasoline in the bed. Will have to pass a DOT Drug, DOT Physical; MVR; and FMCSA screen.
- Traveling from site to site is required. Farthest will be 2 hours away.
- This will be a mix of indoor and outdoor work.
- Steel toed boots are required.
- If there is inclement weather, they will have other duties assigned to them.
- Will be conducting interviews.
- Will provide onsite training.
