Social Media Strategist

Social Media Strategist

Duration: 40hrs a week, 12+ month contract
In need of a social media strategist, passionate about connecting some of our biggest brands with consumers through our owned social channels.
Responsibilities:
Social Insights & Strategy
• Create & Execute (Organic / Non-Paid) Strategy across brand-owned platforms
• Lead social platform best practice development on various platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Tumblr
• Devise and lead initiatives to increase followers, engagement, and traffic to our site for each of our accounts; measure success and ROI on an ongoing basis
• Champion social listening tools and use Client to inform campaign strategy, KPIs, content development, optimization tactics
• Work with the Marketing Director to create strategic plans for overall Social Media programs + monthly / quarterly posting content calendars
• Keep agency and creatives abreast of trends, platforms and other relevant news-worthy updates

Social Media, Content & Community Management
• Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users' engagement metrics
• Ensure all content created is "oAn brand” with each brand's distinct identity and appropriate for the platform
• Monitor, escalate issues, identify engagement opportunities, employ comment moderation
• Facilitate content reviews, manage creative feedback and approvals according to Client protocol
• Maintain content calendar, schedule & publish content, outline posting cadence for promoted content with media agency partners

Content Development
• Initiate real-time responses in accordance with brand voice guardrails and program guidelines. Ideate and drive the creation of timely organic content when relevant
• Participate in concepting as expert in social best practices to ensure integration of key learnings and trends

Analytics & Reporting
• Track social results, create analytics reports, provide strategic recommendations and present results in timely manner
• Proactive measurement for ROI on organic/social content while helping define key success benchmarks in evolving space

Requirements/ Job Skills & Years of Experience for Each:
• 2-5yrs of social media and/or social content experience; 1+ yrs digital agency experience; content marketing, social media, copywriting, email marketing, or equivalent
• Excellent writing skills; impeccable grammar is a must, as well as the ability to write in different styles and tones to match each brand
• Data-driven approach to decision-making; must be able to quantify ROI and impact for all marketing activities
• Solid experience with Crimson Hexagon and/or other social listening tools
• Working knowledge of Google analytics and Facebook analytics, as well as knowledge of Facebook and Instagram for business
• Exposure to third party posting platforms (ex. Spredfast)
• Copywriting experience (1+ yr) or ability to copy write
• Skills to easily jump in to an existing process and improve upon process when needed
• Enjoys client and vendor relationship management
• Passion for digital/social media and preferably experience of delivering social media campaigns
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with leadership team members while maintaining a positive attitude and sense of integrity
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)


Physical Requirements:
The ability to work from the WeWork Legacy West location with ability to travel to Client Headquarters as needed
