Business Analyst/Project Manager

A Major Financial Firm located in Jersey City, NJ has an immediate opportunity for a Business Analyst/Project Manager.

The Business Analyst/Project Manager has responsibilities for the business requirements, functional design, specification deployment and project management of Finance Systems initiatives. This includes;
  1. Develop business requirements for any system implementation
  2. Develop functional requirements documents for delivery to IT.
  3. Perform initial data mapping analysis to understand the availability and quality of data
  4. Perform System Testing to ensure that development is in line with functional specification
  5. Plan and manage User Acceptance Testing and migration testing up to successful delivery of end product.
  6. Liaise with the users for User Acceptance Testing and migration testing up to successful delivery of end product.
  7. Ensure on-time quality delivery of all activities assigned
  8. Report on and monitor status of FinCOO team projects on a regular basis (weekly) as to inform all stakeholders of ongoing program status.
  9. Liaise with cross-functional teams (business groups, IT and PMO organizations) in New York, New Jersey, California, Montreal, Mumbai, London and Paris.
  10. Set up project structure and ensure on time and relevant delivery by various workstreams
  11. Manage issues and escalate effectively.
  12. Drive project planning and cost estimates.
  13. Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects and activities assigned.

  1. Ability to analyze, and document user requirements and business processes.
  2. Ability to undertake data assessment, data gap analysis and remediation.
  3. Experience in writing business requirements, functional requirements and testing
  4. Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
  5. Ability to manage issues and escalate effectively.
  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely to audiences of varying technical or accounting levels.
  7. Ability to work effectively in geographically dispersed cross-functional teams.
  8. Strong Microsoft software Office skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
