Position is repairing forklifts, must have this experience* *Rental company or Material handler company experience (example: Pape, Bobcat, Client Rentals), Industrial tech or Fleet Mechanic Title background* Role: The Fleet Equipment Maintenance Technician uses his knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production systems to sustain production machinery processes. As an Equipment Mechanic you will travel to customer locations, diagnose equipment problems, and make repair recommendations. This involves giving repair quotes, creating lists of parts required for repairs, and ensuring that the necessary parts are ordered in a timely manner. You will be responsible for only performing repairs specifically requested by the customers and ensuring that they understand the situation and are satisfied with the condition of their equipment. This is a physically demanding job requiring walking and standing all day, as well as, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing ladders and even lying on the ground intermittently throughout the day. In addition, the technician may wear a fall protection harness while working from heights or from a suspended position. Maintenance techs will lift up to 50 lbs. and turn wrenches, screw drivers and other hand tools and power tools. This is for a night shift currently but please provide desired working hours. Shifts subject to change.

Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and performing repairs of gas, LP, diesel and electric forklifts. Routine and preventative maintenance on propane & electric warehouse forklifts and equipment. Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, and any other breakdown or failure. Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment. Fill out accurate work orders and submitting complete documentation for all work in a timely manner. Maintaining the cleanliness of all forklifts, products, tools and work facilities. Keeping track of purchase orders for reimbursement purposes Communicating with salespeople to Client customer needs Adhering to all company policies and work rules On a daily basis, position requires driving for many hours at a stretch, loading and unloading cargo, and considerable lifting, carrying and walking each day Performs other duties assigned as assigned by the manager

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years experience as mechanic with mobile equipment equipment. Trade school or Technical training is a must. Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety and a high level of safety consciousness. Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment problems. Must be physically able to work in a job site environment for extended periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching. Must be physically able to work in extreme conditions on job sites.
