Someone with a background in statistics with basic scripting capabilities would be a good fit for this role.

This is a 9am-5pm full time position onsite in Seattle. There is potential for the contractor to convert to FTE.

This is more of a UA/Business role than an IT role. Desktop application, managing info coming in, installation of the software, troubleshoot issues


Job Description: This position is for a seasoned professional individual contributor in Quality Assurance, who works independently with minimal supervision to coordinate numerous aspects of the curriculum decision-making and implementation, consult on curriculum design matters leveraging experience and recent performance and collaborate cross functionally to ensure all business operations remain compliant and up to business standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with leading actuarial experts in reinsurance, capital modeling and actuarial sciences to develop an understanding of requirements for new modeling functionality.
  • Work with actuaries and developers to design and develop tests to verify the underling expectations of algorithms and actuarial modeling changes.
  • Advocate QA process, tool, and methodology improvements throughout our agile development process. Help develop the direction of QA for our products.
  • Establish professional communication channels with clients and users to support them with various installation, quality, performance, and modeling issues.
  • Organize, support, improve and maintain support knowledge databases, users' communications, product telemetry and metric data.
  • Help advance the future direction of QA for our product.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial software product QA/support experience.
  • A degree in a related field such as QA, software development, computer science, mathematics, statistics, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of scripting and QA automation.
  • Proven ability to extract goals, ideas and approaches from domain experts and translate them into elegant tests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates self-motivation, resourcefulness and independent action.
  • Experience working directly with users on an agile development team strongly preferred.
  • Math and/or C# skills a plus.
