Global Financial Firm located in New York, NY has an immediate contract for an experienced

Business Overview:

CRC acts as a Control Function within the RISK Function. Responsibilities are to ensure that CRC's control/monitoring and reporting are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for monitoring capital markets activities of Banks, Brokers, Insurance, Sovereigns, Regulated Funds/Hedge Funds, Latam Financial Institutions, and Corporate counterparties.
  • Work closely with CRC Team members locally and globally in order to handle various requirements of the function.
  • Work with a broad range of capital markets products and related RISK systems. Gain an understanding of a counterparty's/sector's overall risk profile. Produce standard control reports for credit officers and Senior Management – and be able to assist with the development of any ad hoc reporting that is needed to meet local requirements.
  • Review capital markets credit limit excesses through the Daily/Monthly New Excess Management System or other sources. Review weekly closed excesses with RISK-I2S/RISK-Corporate credit officers/Regional Heads. Communicate any trader/marketer violations to the appropriate Desks.







Responsibilities Cont'd:
  • Partner with I/T to streamline, automate and develop new processes for reporting and managing Firm's counterparty risk. Assist with coordinating I/T projects, and recommend enhancements to RISK systems. Communicate known RISK systems issues to the appropriate I/T Teams.
  • Liaise with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Collateral Management, Sales, Trading, and RISK I/T to assist them with reviewing/ensuring that risks are appropriately captured and data from various systems external to RISK (ex. Beagle Legal System, Algo Collateral System, Front Office systems, etc.) are reflected in Risk Navigator System.
  • Provide feedback to Business and Global Markets/Transaction & Securitization Teams on Transaction Approval Committees (TAC's)/New Business Approval Committees (NAC's) in order to ensure the required exposure monitoring/reporting process can be handled with either current RISK systems or other enhanced methods.
  • Liaise with Compliance and Internal/External examiners, and provide information as requested.



Qualifications:
  • BA with 2-5 years relevant work experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Window applications
  • Knowledge of capital markets/financing products
  • Team oriented person who works well with others
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated person w/ ability to assume varied responsibilities/strong desire to learn
  • Understanding of the various risk characteristics in each trading product is a plus
  • Understanding of the methodology used to calculate risk exposures is a plus
