9 Month Contract
W2 only, NO corp to corp or 1099

Consultants will manage the completion of tests of operating effectiveness (TOE) on a portfolio of SOX 404 financial key controls in areas such as accounts payable, payroll, claims processing, revenue, financial reporting, income taxes and/or treasury.

Prior to testing, each consultant will confirm the audit population and validate/refine testing procedures and sampling methods based on risk and external audit reliance. The consultant will then work with management in the appropriate area to select the samples and execute audit steps. They will also document testing results in well documented electronic work papers. Finally, SOX Testing Consultants will document testing conclusions and identify any deficiencies including an evaluation of actual and potential magnitude.

Work will be conducted under the supervision of an Auditor II, Senior Auditor or Internal Audit Director.

1. Quickly learn and apply knowledge about Certus, the company's SOX documentation software
2. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key control owners in assigned areas
3. Independently evaluate the effectiveness of assigned key controls within significant SOX processes
4. Provide timely and professional documentation of audit findings in Certus
5. Track the status of activities daily, escalating barriers to Internal Audit supervisors and completing work within deadlines
6. Share information and ideas, accept constructive feedback as well as additional SOX testing assignments as appropriate

1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accounting/auditing
2. Current knowledge of SOX and 1-2 years prior public accounting or SOX testing experience
3. Proven leadership and strong project management abilities along with a proven record of meeting commitments and achieving goals
4. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
5. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word)
7. Must be able to work in a fast paced and timeline driven environment
8. Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively

1. Previous experience in the transportation industry
2. Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA or others)
3. Previous experience with Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) software
4. Previous experience with labor union contracts
