Office Assistant- Conference Center Coordinator

Hours- 11-7 Monday- Thursday. Some weekends may be needed, flexibility appreciated.

This person will be working alone for several hours per day, must be confident working alone Ideally candidate would come from background in hospitality or hotel management background (1-3 years)
A Conference Center Coordinator, working with limited direction, provides on-site support in the delivery of conference center services. Responsibilities include work closely with internal clients to plan, schedule and implement a variety of meetings (simple, complex and multi-day) held in Conference Center-managed rooms. 1. Provide an outstanding level of customer service designed to exceed the goals and objectives of each Conference Center client. 2. Oversee day-to-day utilization and assignment of conference rooms and manage space by using web-based applications such as RESERVE and Outlook 3. Work directly with internal clients to develop and finalize program details. 4. Greets and directs incoming clients and meeting attendees in the conference center. Provides support, expertise, problem resolution, supplies, information as needed. 5. Provides audio-visual & equipment support as requested: 6. Responsible for the production, distributions associated with conference room activity as defined by the Conference Center standard work documentation. 7. Responsible for maintaining conference room space as well a personal work area. This may include two daily walk-throughs using checklist as well as interim sweeps throughout the day. 8. Perform additional duties, may include project-related work, as assigned by manager or supervisor. 9. Coordinate activities of facilities and catering staff during event to ensure services are delivered as arranged.
