Description
• Operation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of high speed packaging and processing equipment
• Read and use electrical blueprints to trouble shoot
• Trouble shoot and repair electro/pneumatic controls, photoelectric sensing systems, programmable controllers and AC and DC motors
• Calibrate pressure, temperature, level, PH recorders and indicators
• Perform mechanical functions necessary in major project installations
• Perform plant inspections for the sole purpose of generating PMS and to stay in compliance with codes
• Perform safety inspections of guarding, tripping hazards, proper use and handling of equipment
• Work on boilers, air compressors, conveyors, motors, gears
• Investigate electrical problems, analyze cause and make suggestions to keep problems from recurring
• Utilize work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, PLC's, HILCO, HACCP
• Start-up the line and know the sequence of operation
• Shut down the line in an emergency
• Understand the storeroom system and available alternatives if parts or equipment are not available
• Start-up and shut down the boiler safely. Perform daily boiler blow-downs, perform daily boiler water treatment test and be able to take action based on test results
• Perform all work in an organized manner, including clean-up
• Keep accurate records pertaining to parts usage, procedures, shift notes and other records assigned
• Handle special assignments or other duties as assigned by authorized personnel
