CO2 Technician - Senior

BASIC FUNCTION - Establish an understanding of the technical specifications of our product so that quality can be provided to our customers. Able to repair or rebuild various pieces of equipment for the CO2 group through interaction of service and the team leader of the group. Uses technical knowledge to make decisions regarding repair of product and software.

• Previous electromechanical and Laser experience a must
• 2 years industry experience is preferred.
• Functional ability to operate a PC and appropriate software programs is preferred to accomplish specific duties listed above.
• Ability to travel
100% COMMUNICATIONS: (key communications contacts and level of persuasion required) • Strong communication capabilities, including presentations to internal/external contacts, are required

• TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE: Understand specific product knowledge and technical information on a wide range of products. Focus on maintaining product knowledge on all changes related to product s in the CO2 Group. Mechanical and electrical knowledge a must and to able to perform repair work of CO2. Able to use a wide variety of hand tools including multi-meters and specific jigs provided. The ability to also understand and interpret schematics or machine prints in order to disassemble or reassemble CO2 related peripherals.

• SKILL SET: Basic understanding of Mazak or competitive CO2 Laser cutting machines along with troubleshooting skills o Cleaning o Safety procedures o Alignments o Diagnostics o Beam analysis o Laser alignment

• SALES/PRODUCT SUPPORT: Supports sales force in maintaining relationships and satisfying technical customer requirements. Supply technical information and other detail to factory/customer to provide support for the CO2 group

• COMMUNICATIONS: Maintain communications with parts management and CO2 team leader to Monitor account and product developments, trends and progress as well as ensure quality CO2 machinery. Work closely with the Supervisor to understand parts needed to complete each task and ensure correct costs are accounted for.
