Involves analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs and issues in support of a function, research initiatives, program and / or organizational unit, or in research of new or changing systems and programs. Assists in policy and program planning, development, administration, management and implementation; interprets, monitors and analyzes information regarding policies and procedures and provides consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders.

Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems / issues of diverse scope and determines solutions.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Services at Parnassus, Mission Bay, and Mount Zion Campuses provide a full range of services for patients cared for by the Medical Center as well as its providers and payors. These services include, but are not limited to, drug procurement, storage, and security; safe accurate and timely preparation and distribution of drugs; clinical pharmacy services for patients; development of drug use policies within the Medical Center; drug information services for clinicians and

patients; and participation in technology assessment and quality assurance programs.

The duties and essential job function of the 340B Analyst is to support the program and compliance requirements by developing and completing monitoring processes to auditing EMR/drug utilization data and third party applications. This position works collaboratively with the purchasing personnel to ensure program compliance as it relates to their purchasing processes.

    • Full Working Knowledge of EXCEL
    • ACCESS experience a plus
    • Ability to understand analytical spreadsheets
    • Manipulate data sets and validate contracts and pricing
