Desktop Support Engineer

The IT Department are responsible for all aspects of the IT environment. Desktop Support provide first and second line support to the end users for desktop and laptop computers, telephony and network connectivity.

o Ensure that IT requests are prioritized and dealt with effectively.
o Provide help and support to both onsite and remote users maintaining effective communications throughout the process.
o Ensure all client machines are updated and patched according to schedule and best practice.
o Ensure the asset database is accurate and up to date
o Own and manage work and projects to provision, upgrade and maintain the end user environment
o Work with third party suppliers, providing specifications of required work and ensuring work is carried out as required.
o Assist with internal relocation of teams and employees (will require physical lifting of IT equipment) 

Experience: At least 5 Years previous experience of supporting 100+ users in a Windows XP/7 environment; Good understanding of Windows networking (DHCP, DNS, IP); Hand-on experience of Active Directly in a Windows 2008 environment
