Job Description:

This position will work in a team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate will perform a hybrid function, where he, or she would support back office operation functions, as well as develop macros, databases and end-user applications to allow for bulk processing and enhancement of process controls over processes otherwise performed in back office operations. The core back office function is Tax Information Reporting, where end-user computing tools are used to enhance core processes that are conducted on mainframe systems. No mainframe development will be associated with this role, outside of defining business requirements for annual changes and overall systems enhancements. This role will:
  • Leverage End User Computing products to execute critical analysis and processing functions related to Tax Information Reporting, assist a large global team of tax professionals with functional migrations of work into our centralized hub by reviewing existing and developing new End User Computing tools.
  • Develop both technical and end-user documents related to End User Computing tools.
  • Support FRO's Service Delivery / Engagement model with client constituency and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and participate in process re-engineering and redesign to achieve better controls, compliance and efficiency.
  • Support internal and IRS audits, as well as any other special audits.
  • Participate in self-assessment testing, MCA and SOX controls.
  • Ensure tight controls over owned processes to include key controls and Continuity of Business.

Qualifications:
  • **Advanced skills in Visual Basic development an absolute MUST**
  • SQR, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Plus, SAL, Oracle development skills preferred but NOT REQUIRED
  • Expert level of proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook required
  • Basic understanding of U.S. Tax Information Reporting requirements preferred but NOT REQUIRED
  • Excellent communication skills to drive engagement and close interactions with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to examine processes and procedures, experience with Process Re-engineering, Re-design and Process Automation is preferred
  • Ability to act as a change agent for organizational and product transformational initiatives
  • Project Management experience preferred and strong organizational skills a must
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while driving results in compressed timeframes
  • Ensure tight controls over owned processes to include key controls and Continuity of Business
