On-Board PMO is looking to hire a full-time Production Supervisor with automotive experience in Warren, MI.

Responsible for the supervision of production, process or area. Coordinates materials, labor, and equipment resources to ensure that orders will meet their production dates and quality specifications, as well as assisting in the workload when needed. Makes sure that production associates have the appropriate resources and documentation to complete their job. Manages the productivity, quality and safety of the production work in your area(s) of responsibility. Manages and develops the human resources within your area of responsibility.

Position Details:
  • Oversee production associates, assisting on the floor as needed.
  • Oversee daily production activities in all production areas, and coach production leads and associates to achieve desired productivity, quality and safety goals.
  • Participate with HR in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of production workers for your shift
  • Train all associates in the key aspects of production productivity, quality & safety.
  • Monitor & track attendance and tardiness for all production associates in your areas of responsibility, and forward Time Off requests.
  • Report any and all personal injuries on the production floor in your areas of responsibility and ensure that proper medical attention is given. Call 911 when necessary
  • Periodically train all production workers in your areas of responsibility and oversee the execution of these procedures should it become necessary.
  • Work with Maintenance Personnel to ensure that all production and facility equipment in your areas of responsibility is being appropriately maintained and in good running order.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all production areas.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, and customers, both verbally and in writing.
Minimum Requirements
  • You will be expected to be on the floor to accurately monitor the floor and ensure we stay on track.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel, and willing/able to be trained in any other computer program or system.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to communicate directly with the customer.
  • Preferred prior supervisory experience
  • GED/High school diploma
