Overview:
On-Board Services, a Family Owned and Operated Human Capital firm specializing in Professional Search Recruiting and Talent Acquisition is assisting a large transportation industry client with a search for several Trailer or Chassis Mechanics in the Fort Worth, Texas Area.

Job Location: Fort Worth, Texas Area
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour Full-Time
Optional Flexible Overtime: Available
Shifts Available: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm)
No Travel Required: Report to the same work location every day

What You Need to Qualify:
  • At least 1 year of experience in Semi-Trailer or Trailer Chassis Mechanics, usage and customary repair methods OR a Technical School Diesel Program Graduate
  • Some experience with minor container repairs (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in MIG and/or ARC welding
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Federal Inspections FMCSA Chassis Inspections and procedures (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration)
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to meet our client's driver’s license standards
  • Able to pass our client's pre-employment background and drug screening

What Are your Responsibilities:
You will perform perform mechanical repairs to Intermodal Container Chassis and FMCSA Chassis inspections at our client's location. You will perform all types of chassis repairs including brake jobs, welding, cutting with a torch and repairing and replacing parts on the chassis using standard repair tools. You will also do some minor container repairs, patches, door latches and hinges type of work.
