Water and Wastewater Superintendent - (Grade 4 WW, T3 Water)

Overview:
On-Board Services is assisting a Large Water & Wastewater Management company with a search for an Dual Certified Water & Wastewater Treatment Superintendent who is responsible for administering and overseeing all aspects of the management, operation, and maintenance activities of both a 3.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant and a 12.5 MGD Surface Water Treatment Facility including managing approximately 4 other employees.

What are the Primary Qualifications:
You need duel certified in in both Water and Wastewater. California Grade 4 Wastewater Treatment License (or equivalent in another state) and a California T3 Water Treatment License (or equivalent in another state.  You also need 10+ Years of Water/Wastewater Industry experience including management experience, financial reporting capabilities, and experience presenting to city council boards.
 

What are your Primary Responsibilities?
As a Manager for our client you will have "Superintendent-like" responsibilities for the financial and operational oversight and management of a 3.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Facility and a 12.5 MGD Surface Water Treatment Facility.  You will also prepare and administer annual operating budgets and capital project improvement budgets.  You will be responsible for overseeing the financial performance of the utility operations, including invoicing, and account payables/receivables.  You will spend time in meetings with representatives and city council members to formulate goals and strategies for improvements and attend council meetings.  When it comes to ensuring DOT, OSHA, and SOP's are followed, you are the one who keeps everything in line and conducts inspections regularly.  When regulators visit, you are the tour guide. =)
