The company: 

Our client is an automotive seating supplier. The Company designs, manufactures and markets a range of seating systems and components for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and light trucks, including vans, pick-up trucks, and sport/crossover utility vehicles. The Company operates through two segments: Seating and Interiors. The Seating segment produces automotive seat metal structures, and mechanisms, foam, trim, fabric and complete seat systems. The Interiors segment produces instrument panels, floor consoles, door panels, overhead consoles, cockpit systems and decorative trim.

Job Description, Required Skills, Education, Experience:
Product Engineer (Seating)
Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 years of experience in the field. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Responsible for identifying root cause of problem or issues to troubleshoot during the engineering process. 

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering experience with appropriate schooling ideal - Preference is Mechanical Engineering. Bachelor's Degree required. 
Ideal candidate will have prior product engineering in automotive seating industry. 3-5 years experience is idea. 

Car or Truck Automotive Seating Engineering experience in comparable companies such as Magna, Forta, OAM's, or past experience at a manufacturer like Chrysler, Ford, or GM. 
If direct seating experience is not available - comparable industry-like experience is required. 
This role uses plastics, structures, form & trim, important to have a complete seat engineer experience. 

Programs this group supports are in Northwood, Ohio - travel will be required as needed (Example - if there is an issue at the customer plant - this engineer would need to travel to troubleshoot). No flying required, location is driveable within 1 hour.

Ideal candidate will be able to hop in and take the workload this person is responsible of. Needs to be a team player and have the ability to take direction from the team. 

Pay Rate: $36.00 per hour
