Title:  Collections Coordinator
Shift: 8:30am-5:30pm
Pay Rate: $17-20 hr
Location: Penn Plaza, NYC (Midtown)
Type of Contract:  Temp to Perm.
 
The Job Summary:
  • Communicates with clients on current and past due invoices via email and phone.
  • Communication, organization, and basic accounting knowledge are important aspects for this position.
The Basics:
  • Maintains accounts receivable and client payment history.
  • Reviews and enters standard agreements and/or transactions such as: listing, management, valuation, leasing and sales into appropriate system (e.g. PeopleSoft, MTA, VAS, I-track, etc.).
  • Creates corresponding file(s) that is compliant with company and state requirements. 
The MUST Haves:
  • High School diploma or (GED)
  • 2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Financial software systems (PeopleSoft, MTA, VAS and I-Track)
  • Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
  • Must be able to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
  • Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
