Duration: 2 Months
Client Location: Wallingford, CT
Work Schedule: 40 Hours Week
Pay Rate: $35.50 - $45.00/ Hourly DOE

Summary: We are seeking a talented software developer to build scalable platforms and services to expand our product offerings and delight our customers. Experience across the full-stack and the capability of working both the frontend and backend components of the system are a critical component to this position. Experience developing with or in environments supporting these technologies is desired: • Java • Ember • Docker • MySQL • Ubuntu Linux • Git, Stash, and other modern CM tools 
 
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or relevant work experience • 1-5 years of professional software development experience • 1-5 years developing applications for web services or applications • Proficiency in (one or more): Java, C++, Objective-C, Ruby, Python, HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript - Experience developing with or in environments supporting these technologies is desired: • Java • Ember • Docker • MySQL • Ubuntu Linux • Git, Stash, and other modern CM tools 
 
Preferred Qualifications • Passion for building new products in a fast paced, team-oriented environment • Solid coding practices including good design, unit testing, peer code reviews, and a preference for agile methods • Experience with Test Driven Development, Pair Programming and Continuous Integration/Deployment • Sharp analytical abilities, proven design skills, excellent communication skills • Experience using Amazon Web Services desirable • A self-starter with a high level of initiative balanced with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills • A thirst for knowledge and continuous improvement 

Responsibilities: 
Develops, designs, maintains, tests, installs, and modifies system software. Under direct supervision, assist in the design and development of IT application systems; Code, test, and debug new software, as well as perform maintenance and enhancements to existing software. Assist in the development of design and functional specifications. Produce deliverables related to assigned project(s); assist in post-implementation support and system enhancements. Gather, compile, and synthesize information regarding technology processes and systems. Work with the technical team to identify, assess, and correct application issues. Provide assistance writing programs based on specifications from higher-level staff or business analysts. Designs and guides development of business systems software and web apps, ETL, Bl and EAI components and interfaces, as well as database layer work of moderately complex to complex tasks and projects. Collaborates with team members to resolve issues to assure the successful delivery of IT solutions. Performs other duties as assigned.
