 Position Title: Sales Development Specialist
 
 
Position Summary
The Sales Development Specialist (SDS) is responsible for effectively collaborating with the North American Commercial team to drive revenue and customer retention through prospecting, lead management, menu expansion, and account management. They will have continual contact with internal and external customers to drive results.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
% of Time Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities
15% Lead Management – Follow up with and upsell to leads that are generated through trade shows and web
10% Net Promoter Score – Drive customer retention through active follow up and resolution of issues discovered through survey
 
25% Menu Expansion and Value added Services – Expand our current position with a customer through targeted selling efforts
 
20% Prospecting – Generate qualified leads through prospecting for new business
 
20% Contract Renewals – Effectively manage re-contracting with customers for service, reagent and access pricing
10% Account Management of targeted customers as needed.
  Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree required, technical or science background preferred
 
Minimum Years of Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ·         Proven track record of success experience (3 plus years), sales experience preferred
·         Strong phone presence and effective listening skills
·         Willing to make 50 calls daily
·         Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM preferred
·         Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
·         Effectively communicate to all levels of internal and external customers

Customer Excellence
As a Sales Development Specialist, this individual will be representing Ortho to our customers through a wide variety of customer interactions. A high degree of professionalism, polish and effective communications will be critical to success. This individual will require confidence and be able to flex his/ her style to adapt to an ever changing environment. This also requires being a good listener and adjusting communication style where appropriate.

Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour +++An incentive program which maxes out at $18,000 annually+++
