Hiring Contract Human Resources Assistant
Duration: 12 Month Assignment
Client Location: Fortune 500 Company in Buffalo, NY 14207
Work Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday 

Benefits: ACA Compliant Medical Insurance Position

**Candidates cannot begin an assignment without successful drug and background clearances

The successful candidate will be expected to perform all duties in a safe, professional, courteous and orderly manner, including observance of all safety rules, precautions, and good housekeeping practices. The individual will also be expected to manage multiple tasks independently with little or no direction, and to make independent decisions using good judgment.

The Human Resources Assistant will perform general and confidential administrative duties including but not limited to the following:

• Take, transcribe and distribute minutes and summaries at Management/Union meetings
• Perform various Labor Relations/HR research
• Oversee, maintain and drive company side of Grievance process
• Maintain records, logs, confidential files for Human Resources
• Arrange/schedule meetings
• Perform time audits
• Oversee and maintain nonqualifying absentee tracking
• Perform miscellaneous general administrative and confidential work as requested

Skills / Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in Human Resources (Generalist experience a plus)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to take direction then see projects through to fruition
• Good observational and record keeping skills with attention to detail, including use of computer-based spreadsheets
•Strong customer focus
• Possess high personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information

Quals--
Performs clerical and administrative activities specific to the human resources function. Maintains and processes confidential information, forms and records. May respond to inquiries regarding benefits and payroll. Checks personnel-related documents for accuracy and completeness, maintains files and records of a confidential nature, and prepares periodic standardized reports.
