Position: Bilingual Broadcast Technicians - Media Ingest Operator
Location: Doral, FL
Contract Term: 6 Month Contract
Pay Rate: $18.33 - $20.26/hour
Schedule: Weekends and evenings

Responsibilities: 
  • Ability to handle and prioritize time sensitive issues and materials.
  • Ensure data entry of delivered content into necessary systems/databases for physical and virtual assets.
  • Responsible for creating and organizing avid projects along with ingesting media into the Avid Interplay environment.
  • Responsible for maintaining PAM Workspace.
  • Responsible for managing asset preparation including but not limited to organizing, pulling content for ingest/broadcast, and returning content to proper storage location physical or virtual.
  • Provide customer support to all departments and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Retrieval of media files upon request by various departments by set deadlines
  • Learn and use digital delivery platforms like Aspera or Signiant on a daily basis.
  • Ability to collect and relay accurate information about assets both verbally and written format to business partners, management suppliers and vendors.
  • Consistently assess content screening processes and technology to help develop improvements that will enable continued growth and productivity
  • Manage P2, SD cards, hard drives.
  • Manage File movement, ingest, metadata organization, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, transcoding and encoding files.
  • Ensure all ingested content has been correctly and accurately processed by the PAM system – this will include checking the technical and visual quality of the ingested asset, accurate entry of metadata and tracking of material IDs.
  • Additional duties as needed and assigned by Supervisor(s)
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a production, post production, broadcast, or communications environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a job or school related activity using computers and software applications including MS outlook, MS Word, & MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of various media formats/VTRs (Digibeta, HDcam, XDcam), file types (QT, WMV, MXF, DNX, DV, etc) and video standards (NTSC, PAL)
  • A team player, who is always respectful, follows rules and policy, has good communication skills, and maintains a positive attitude
  • Prior experience using media technology library and workflow systems
  • Flexibility with work schedule; must be able to work late hours, weekends and/or holidays when needed for this 24/7 operation
  • Professional experience with Avid Media Composer
  • Prior work in a media management / editing position
  • Experience with transcoding media files to multiple codec standards
  • Understanding of frame rates
  • Organized and punctual with the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Past experience in a technical support / troubleshooting role
