On-Board Engineering Corp is seeking a Qualified Electrical Engineer (E&I) with Project Engineering experience (new and/or existing industrial, chemical, manufacturing and commercial facilities) to join its Regional Office Engineering Team in New Castle, DE.

What are the Qualifications for this Electrical Engineering Job?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 8-10+ years or more of Electrical engineering, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineering experience either within (or as a consultant to) industrial, chemical, manufacturing and commercial facilities.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or E.I.T. in any state? (Strongly preferred) 
  • Experience and knowledge in Controls (i.e. Process safety and controls strategies, DCS, Allen Bradley PLC's, Siemens PLC's, Safety Instrument Systems (SIS), I/O counts, Instrument sizing and specifications, Functional Descriptions, Automation & controls, Operator Control Panels / HMI).
  • Experience and knowledge in Power Distribution for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, equipment arrangements, and lighting design.
  • Competence in Project Management activities such as scope development, cost and man hours estimates, bid package development, scheduling, vendor evaluation / review.

What are Your Primary Responsiblities?
As an Electrical Engineer (E&I) you will be responsible for designing, developing, and working with our clients as they install or modify new or existing equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.  You will design and develop new control systems; (platforms vary by client but experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s and modern and legacy DCS systems is required) and you will develop and maintain instrument lists/databases in Microsoft Access.  You will also work with Power Distribution for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage schematics, wiring diagrams, one-lines, equipment arrangements, and lighting design.  You will not only troubleshoot and Problem Solve, but you will often put on your "Project Engineering Hat" and work collaboratively with design engineers, operations, and procurement to specify instrumentation, control and DCS equipment for purchasing based on scope requirements which will include working with vendors to provide accurate ISA data sheet specifications and equipment procurement quotations.  

You will find yourself working closely with our other On-Board Engineering Discipline Team Members to complete project objectives on-time and within budget.  You will certainly need to have good written and verbal communications skills and if you also have CAD skills in 2D and 3D , are an E.I.T. or are a Registered P.E.
