"Am I Qualified?"
Do you have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering? Yes!  Great, keep reading!

Do you have at least 10 years or more of broad Project Engineering/Project Management experience at an Engineering company or Chemical/Petrochemical Plant environment leading capital projects from Front End Loading (FEL) / Scope Development and cost estimates to schedule development, to coordinating construction activities to commissioning support? Yes!  Great, this job may be for you!

Do you have chemical process design experience (equipment sizing and selection)? Yes!  Excellent!

Are you a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or do you have a Project Management Certification (PMP)? Maybe? (This is strong plus, but not required)

"What will I do in this Job?"
As a Sr. Project Engineer / Project Manager / Hero / Miracle Worker =) you will develop and manage capital projects for various clients primarily in the Chemical or Petrochemical industry with individual projects typically ranging from $100k - $5 Million but you could also join or lead internal teams for significantly larger capital projects.  You will be responsible for all aspects of project management of the capital projects from conceptual scope development, preliminary design, detailed design, and management of the design team.  Each day you will find yourself reviewing project proposals, interacting with site team members, determining specifications and cost estimates, creating and updating project schedules, controlling costs, preparing progress reports, and seeing that the projects are completed on-time and within budget.  In other words, your specific duties will include items such as interacting with the plant and client personnel, gathering information, developing and costing conceptual solutions, detailed design, safety design, developing project justifications and cost estimates, schedule development, and cost management.  You will need to be self-motivated and be able to work as a part of a team or independently on multiple projects at once.  You will be expected to have proficiency in Excel, MS Word, MS Project, cost estimating programs, and AutoCad. There will probably be lots of stress when things go wrong, budgets get cut, and clients have delays or make unexpected changes to their project scopes and budgets.  But through all the stress, you can always be satisfied in knowing you can also play the role of the hero, take the lead, and get it done right!   You will find yourself working closely with our other All-Star Engineering Discipline Team Members to complete project objectives on-time and within budget.  You will certainly need to have good written and verbal communications skills but if you also have CAD skills in 2D and 3D or a P.E. License that would be a BIG Plus, but the latter two are not required.  Most engineers like you who earn acceptance to join our All-Star Engineering Team stay with On-Board for several decades because our clients have projects that challenge you and provide you opportunity to step up and to grow in your professional career.  On-Board's Engineering Team works hard and creates deep relationships with major companies by delivering sustainable satisfaction on projects with a 40-Year track record.  Apply Now to On-Board's "Culture of Service and Safety" and enjoy our Family-Owned Professional Engineering Environment.
