Qualifications:
The Business Intelligence Data Manager will be accountable for creating applications to support Sales Initiatives, providing analytical support, and to be the contact to support the Sales Operations Department in the creation of applications for our internal and external Sales Colleagues.
 
 Qualifications/Personal Characteristics:
 • A minimum of 3 years in the consumer package goods industry, preferably in HBC, and 1-2 years analytical experience.
 • Advanced personal computer (MSAccess, Excel and Visual Basic) and mainframe modeling software knowledge (SAP).
 • Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills.
• A consummate team player, capable of working well within a matrix environment.
 • Flexibility – ability to work well within a relatively unstructured environment.

Requirements: To perform this job successfully, the ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience in an analytical or programming role. Other Requirements: Candidate should have advanced knowledge of MSAccess, Excel, and PowerPoint. Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, or other Microsoft specific programming language. Knowledge of Oracle Discoverer, Business Objects, SqlServer or SAP is a plus.

 
Responsibilities:
The Business Intelligence Data Manager will be accountable for creating applications to support Sales Initiatives, providing analytical support, and to be the contact to support the Sales Operations Department in the creation of applications for our internal and external Sales Colleagues.
 
The key objective of the Business Intelligence Data Manager will be to provide all levels of the organization with Category and Sales information necessary to promote profitable sales growth in a manner consistent with company and brand strategies.
 
DUTIES:
1) Supports the Director of Sales Operations in development, design and programming of Microsoft Office based sales tools with a focus in Excel and MS Access.
 2) Working knowledge of Visual Basic or VBA and a clear understanding of relational databases is mandatory.
3) Responsible for formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements under general supervision.
 4) Develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Analyzes business processes, identifies process deficiencies, researches solutions and plans and coordinates the remediation of these deficiencies. Assist with the design and implementation of operational and system enhancements to ensure production capabilities are both effective and efficient.
 5) As appropriate, write and validate business requirements and conduct system tests.
 6) Perform analysis across a wide variety of retail business development issues including pricing, promotion, assortment, distribution and merchandising.
7) Substantial duties in ad-hoc reporting to Management, Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Finance.
