The SAP Data Clerk is a critical role in the Maintenance organization to ensure standard and consistent maintenance “asset and organizational” SAP data. This data accuracy forms the foundation of the Work Management Process (WMP), the MI/QA process, and the Reliability Engineering process at a site

Definition Overview
The SAP Data Clerk is responsible for analysis and the quality of the data for site level maintenance asset master data and organizational master data.

Major Objectives of the Role
1. Review/Enter/Change as needed any SAP equipment data not properly stated in the required fields to be populated within the SAP interface. 
a. Timely and accurate asset data analysis and input for creation/modification/deletions
o Equipment – Catalog Profile, Class, Cost Code, Permits, Documents, etc.          
o Functional Location

  4. Knowledge of and experience with software applications as appropriate; Microsoft Office® (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  1. Knowledge of and experience with Site safety policies, procedures, and training
  1. Ability to translate through collaboration, and develop, specific site business/functional process area knowledge (business and SAP knowledge).
  2. Ability to utilize other software tools as appropriate; Documentum, Microsoft Office® (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).  Intermediate skills in Excel to interface with the SAP
  3. Understand SAP Functional Location Structure and how it relates to site usage
  4. Ability to read, understand, and utilize equipment documentation (P&ID diagrams, BPF files, vendor manual, etc.)
  5. Understand SAP class and catalog profile structure and how it integrates maintenance plan setup and execution
  6. Understand requirements of a maintenance plan (i.e. procedures, task list, BOM)
  7. Ability to apply necessary equipment data from various information sources into proper SAP master data inputs
  8. Effectively execute SAP Transactions
