Qualifications:
Requirements • Part terminology • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Word Processing • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program seeking a mechanical Engineering Degree • Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA. • Ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines. • Strong communication Skills • Detailed, organized and results oriented • Excellent analytical abilities.

Responsibilities:
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques.
 • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
 • Acquiring data from primary (MP2) and other data sources and maintaining databases.
• Maintain databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
 • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
 • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Creating and implementing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets Projects
• Creating a functional Bill of Materials (BOM)
 o Have parts knowledge o Be willing to speak with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s)
 o Be willing to speak with outside Vendors to accomplish tasks
 o Be able to distinguish already stocked parts from parts needed.
 • Work on Cost Savings Projects o Generate cost and usage reports from MP2
o Identify potential savings (in price and/or quantity)
o Speak with Managers, Engineers and outside vendors to find comparable parts
 o Test and Purchase comparable parts
 • Work on Part Consolidation
 o Identify through MP2 “Part Families”
o Speak with engineers to consider possible changes, available footprint for new parts, any restrictions and programming challenges
 o Work with outside vendors to identify upgraded parts with new features that can take the place of many single feature parts
o Test as need to verify accurate change
