The company: one of the world’s leading suppliers of nutritional lipids, vitamins, carotenoids and other ingredients to the feed, food, pharmaceutical and personal care industries. We are seeking a temporary Lab Technician to join our R&D Analytical Sciences team to support running business.

The Position
Applies standard analytical methods to analyze samples coming from R&D and other departments. Develops and improves methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis of DNP products, lipids, related compounds and of microbial fermentation samples, in line with work plan, writes standard operating procedures and the validation reports. Organizes the laboratory.  As part of a team, executes experimental work to support research goals and business functions, while respecting Quality and SHE requirements and other relevant standards.

Involves applying knowledge of analytical chemistry to solve a variety of challenges and meet established research goals, working under the direction and guidance of a more experienced researcher.

Familiar with common analytical techniques and instruments is needed, including an understanding of the underlying principles.

The Ideal Candidate:
B.S. in Chemistry or related field with 1-3 years of experience working in an analytical laboratory, either R&D or QC environment.

Experience with a variety of analytical techniques but not limited to wet chemistry/sample preparation, GC, HPLC, spectroscopy, etc.

Must be able to execute scientific experiments/procedures that are often complex in nature.
Able to make accurate, detailed scientific notes/observations.

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based upon qualifications
