The Piping Designer/Engineer creates and establishes complex designs consistent with good practices, client requirements and conformance to Codes & Standards. Designers will need to be apply standard drafting and modeling techniques to generate and interpret drawings in support of assigned projects. The designer will ensure that all established Company design standards and practices are followed. Responsibilities include CAD and 3D Modeling design of basic equipment layouts and piping routings that are consistent with codes and standards and client requirements. The Piping Designer needs to be team oriented and willing to lead other CAD drafters. Generates design and detail drawings including orthographics, 3D Models ,plans/sections, and isometrics to support Discipline Leads. Estimates work hours based on scope of work. Interacts with Clients to convey project design and identify scope changes. Interacts with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information. Qualifications: Proficient in standard drafting techniques Proficient in basic computer functions required to perform 3-D CAD, AutoPlant, and BIM/Revit design Associate Degree in a technical discipline. BS in Mechanical Engineering a plus. Proficient in field investigations and measurements 2-5 years of experience in refining and/or chemical process piping design Experience working with piping isometric drawings , creating engineering and construction packages, filed sketching Working knowledge of Codes and Standards Working knowledge of reference documents and guides Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Industry Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, PIP Job Type: Full-time Experience: Chemrical/Petrochemicals: 2 years+ Piping Design: 5 years+ 3D Pipe Modeling: 5 years+
