On-Board PMO, Inc. is hiring for a  DIRECT HIRE NIGHT SHIFT - CNC METAL & PLASTICS SUPERVISOR in Houston, Texas.

Shift: 2ND shift (4pm – 1am) + OT as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:  Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibility over others. CNC metal and CNC Plastics experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience with Fanuc/Mitsubishi controls. 2-Must be proficient in blueprint reading.   3-Must be proficient using measurement devices such as calipers.
Duties: 1-Must be able to setup and edit programs on the machine.   2-Strong commitment to perform quality work.  3-Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.  4-Must keep records; maintain equipment and supplies.  5-Programs mills or lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, makes offsets using basic math and geometry.  6-Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces. 7-Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.  8-Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
SUPERVISORY SKILLS 1-Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibility over others.  Read and interpret schedules to aid in management of shop and performance of assigned duties.  4-Communicate orally in the English language in person in a one-to-one or group setting.  5-Observe and monitor people's behavior objects or data to determine compliance with prescribed operating or safety standards.   6-Read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets for chemicals used in the work environment and communicate to staff the precautions needed for safe handling of chemicals.  7-Enter data or information into a terminal, PC, or other keyboard device.  8-Work cooperatively with other employees.
 INSPECTION AND QUALITY INSURANCE
 -Duties: 1-Upon completion of all work orders randomly inspects and ensures that customer expectations have been met and is compliant with customers’ quality standards.  Checks for completion of all documentation pertaining to each order. 2-Inspects, participates and instructs employees in the repairing/reconditioning or modifying of parts to meet customer expectations.   3-Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality and seamless customer service. 4-Maintain good housekeeping including care and maintenance of equipment.  5-Enforces company safety rules and regulations. 6-Immediatley performs thorough incident/accident investigation when they happen and writes report. 7-Immediatley report incident/accident to the Plant Manager. 8-Assign the right employee to the right job.  Know your people.  9-Ensure all employees are engaged at all times. 10-Discuss ways to improve processes in the shop with the Plant Manager. 11-Ensure all employees read and understand their work instructions particularly drawing interpretations. 12-Find ways to improve work efficiencies at all times. 13-Track daily production output when necessary. 14-Perform random process inspection as parts are being manufactured. 15-Ensure employees report an error made on parts being manufactured. 16-Reports to Plant Manager. 17-Conduct meetings with crew daily. Safety minutes. 18-Work overtime and schedule all overtime with employees with consultation of Plant Manager. 19-Report manufacturing error to the Plant Manager for immediate resolution.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
-Tooling /Materials/Lubricants etc. 1-Keep accurate inventory by performing cycle counts on all inserts, tooling, shop supplies etc.. 2-Keeps accurate inventory by performing cycle counts on all plastic materials.
3-Completes inventory reorder form and notifies Plant Manager when materials or supplies need to be ordered. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1-Prepare daily work plan 2-Schedule work and determine ahead of time if job is on schedule. Report jobs that will be running late. 3- Responsible for completing all rush orders on time. Required to give updates
