The Professional Education Applications Specialist is invested in the continual development and improvement of the Professional Education website, identifying and developing solutions for technology to enhance the educational experience throughout the life cycle of events.  Applications Specialist reports to Director and together they design and oversee technical solutions. 

This is a 6 month contract role. Rate of pay $35.00/hour.

Typical functions include but are not limited to: reviewing and analyzing ways to enhance process, liaising with web development team to assess feasibility of new applications, troubleshooting technical problems and developing solutions to achieve continuous improvement and train users on products. 


Candidate must be available after hours during Professional Education events for urgent matters; will ensure team coverage if unavailable.

Responsibilities: 
  • Works closely with Director of Strategic Initiatives to monitor and ensure successful completion of new projects relating to developing the Professional Education website and use of technology for courses that the website supports
  • Design registration processes that meet event requirements
  • Tests new solutions to ensure quality
  • Research and recommend additional features and products to improve the registration process participate in RFP process
  • Use HTML and CSS to maintain the Professional Education website and make improvements to the registration webpage templates
  • Provide training and advice to Professional Education team on applications’ best practices
  • Maintain positive and professional relationships with vendors, sales and sales support and colleagues
  • Maintain Professional Education calendar, i.e., ensure all scheduled events are added and most recent versions are uploaded
  • Collaborate with RA/QA Endowise Administrator to maintain changes as necessary to develop and support Cvent registration system.
  • Participate in meetings, relating to the development of website, analyze how it will effect Professional Education and course registrations
  • Create ad hoc reports for Professional Education courses and process certifications
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field or 1 year equivalent experience working with HTML/CSS
  • 2 years experience working with Cvent products including Event Management System
  • Ability to research business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI
  • Experience with e-learning deployment and/or LMS a plus
  • Team Player with the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects involving numerous internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with stress while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Visio, and Adobe).
  • Ability to travel up to an average of 10% of the time.
