Basic Function: Responsible for Safely providing maintenance support to the DuPont Valley View site. This support includes the plant production equipment, office areas, facility services, grounds and building. Responsibilities: Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; able to read and understand basic building and electrical blueprints; review and identify projects needed to be serviced by outside contractors; follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain work logs; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in work assignments demonstrating Safety Everyday with all assigned projects. Layout, install, modify, a variety of equipment such as production machines, general manufacturing type machines, and plant building projects. Work on automatic controls, testing equipment, instrumentation, circuit wiring, mechanical systems, and electrical systems up to 480 volts AC. Work on equipment that have PLC’s and understand PLC ladder logic programming, instrumentation systems, closed loop control systems and CNC controllers. Specify and order repair parts and maintenance repair services when needed. Perform general computer work such as Microsoft Office. Actively Participate in Safety meetings, Safety teams and oversee Safety in all projects. Follow all site Safety procedures on Maintenance projects.

Repairs and maintains electrical and instrument equipment using hand tools, power tools, & precision measuring and testing instruments. Engages in rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machines, equipment, and instruments.
