Position: Furniture Coordinator
Location: Universal City, CA
Contract Term: 12 Months
Pay Rate: $26.00/hour
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday
Screenings: Background screenings prior to start date

  • Furniture Coordinator assists in supporting all office space and processing daily requests from corporate/production clients, studio wide. This includes the coordination of services from other departments, within the facilities group or approved 3rd party vendors. 
  • Assist with scheduling furniture deliveries, removals, or office rearranging per client requests
  • Coordinate crew to furnish and set up production space per client request or layouts
  • Ensure the crew has the appropriate supplies, tools, and support to accomplish all jobs
  • Assist with scheduling jobs and provide crew schedules for the workday
  • Prepare and submit time sheets and charge code information to Facilities department for furniture crew
  • Ensure proper union work practices are followed and furniture crew is provided with required protective equipment pertinent to work
  • Help facilitate logistics for large department staff moves/reorganizations
  • Coordinate cubicle installations/removals, carpet installations, and various Studio Facilities projects.
  • Coordinate with IT technicians during and after moves to ensure proper connectivity of equipment and client satisfaction.
  • Arrange services from various facilities groups prior to a move, to ensure all necessary work is complete.
  • Set up guest drive-on passes through security and provide building access for 3rd party vendors
  • Visiting locations where EHS findings are documented, assessing the most helpful solution for the tenant and opening IT and maintenance tickets to resolve EHS violations.
  • Relaying the status of the EHS finding to the EHS inspector who originally documented it.
  • Advising tenants on ongoing solutions to keep facilities safe and free of legal trouble.
  • Follow up on all orders/jobs as part of customer service to the client.
  • Issue purchase orders for chairs, monitors arm, furniture repair pieces,
  • Invoice processing
  • Schedule Talent Lab Set Ups
  • Coordinate and schedule office moves and installation using 3rd party vendor for all 10 UCP bldg. requests
  • Coordinate furniture warranty issues lot wide

  • Expert knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have the ability to read and understand floor plans and construction drawings.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends on short notice due to office move schedules and rush requests from productions when needed.
  • Previous customer service experience is desired.
  • Should be a highly organized person and able to handle a heavy workload.
  • Extremely motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and ability to multitask.
  • Successful applicant must be detailed oriented, a self-starter and have strong communication skills.
