General laborer/Manufacturing

Receives, stores, and distributes products within establishment by performing the following duties. This work is done under moderate to strong supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, and distributed
Assists in training of co-workers on how to perform all their duties safely
Performs operator maintenance as necessary
Prepares and matches appropriate records and/or documents
Assists in accounting all materials are received accurately with proper documentation (packing slips, return authorizations, MSDS, etc.)
Assists/performs the duty of filling outbound shipments accurately with proper documentation (stenciling, staging).
Maintains upkeep of warehouse equipment
Conveys materials and items from receiving/production area to storage/designated areas
Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size or product code
Marks products with identifying information
Other duties include cycle counting, computer entry of records, coordination of dispositions, and assisting in coordination of yearly physical inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

H.S. diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
Ability to operate material handling equipment
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to push or pull items. The employees is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Candidates must be able to work in a physically demanding environment with personal protective equipment. Fitness for duty testing may be required.
