6 Month Contract Assignment in Irvine, Ca

Pay Rate $21.00-24.00 hourly

• Under the guidance of Chemist, conduct experiments record data and perform basic data analysis on electronic formulated materials.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine formulations and test specimens
 • Conduct laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment.
 • Perform technical and record keeping in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
• Record results in scientific manner with focus on accuracy.
Maintains accurate laboratory notebook with formulations, process information, and testing results.
• Perform routine testing of physical and mechanical properties using appropriate laboratory equipment.
• Assure all PD laboratory work is carried out in a safe manner including employees wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, trained on safety practices, 5s, etc. and that all products and processes comply with all federal and state regulatory agencies.
 • Act as a technical resource in in the collection of data for PPAP

• Some college courses in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science required OR equivalent experience in related field. •
 -3 years experience working in chemical laboratory environment.
 • Ability to record and summarize the experiment results in a scientific manner.
• Proficient in the use Microsoft Excel, Word.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
Candidate to be able to work as a team member and also independently on multi-task assignments.
 • Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment and computers is essential Able to carry out laboratory activities accurately and repeatedly. • Verbally communicate one-on-one. • May be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 25 lbs
