The Business Intelligence Associate will serve as a part of the Decision Support team, generating insights that accelerate Global brand growth and facilitates planning for in-line and pipeline products in hemophilia and other rare blood disorders. More specifically, the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence is tasked with driving adoption of business intelligence tools, promoting automation and standardization of key performance indicator reports, and developing effective and efficient visualizations that enable crisp decision making.

This position requires at least two years of recent Tableau Desktop development experience.

The Business Intelligence Assocaite, as a critical member of the Decision Support team, will work closely with representatives from the Sales, Marketing, Patient Advocacy, Patient Services, Value & Access, Medical, and IT teams to understand available data sources, key business questions, and appropriate measures of success. With this deep understanding of the business, this individual will develop dashboards that add substantial value in driving organizational understanding both execution and performance metrics.

Responsibilities: 
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders to understand their business questions and objectives, then develop visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or other BI platforms that provide them with meaningful and actionable insights
  • Understand the disparate sources of information, their applications to the business, and their limitations, and develop data sources in Tableau for efficient data exploration and insight generation.
  • Teach business users how to interact with the visualizations and interpret the results, and develop reference materials
  • Maintain appropriate documentation around development of visualizations, dashboards, and workbooks – including assumptions, complex calculations, and other relevant information
  • Support the administration of Tableau Server

Qualifications:
  • At least two years of recent Tableau Desktop development experienc
  • Demonstrated experience in translating business questions into audience-appropriate visualizations
  • Experience in using a variety of data sources as Tableau inputs, including Microsoft Excel and relational databases
  • Though not required, experience with other business intelligence and visual analytics tools is a plus
  • Past experience at a biotech/pharmaceutical company preferred
  • BA/BS required
