Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of product development team members, the Laboratory Technician prepares sample materials and conducts physical characterization and performance tests in the qualification of new materials for industrial and 3D printing applications.
 Record results in scientific manner with focus on accuracy.
Maintains accurate laboratory notebook with formulations, process information, and testing results.
 Assure all laboratory work is carried out in a safe manner including employees wearing personal protective equipment, trained on safety practices, 5s, etc. and that products and processes comply with all federal and state regulatory agencies. Supports the team members in completion of their assignments.
 
 
 
Qualifications:
College education with at least 2 years in Chemistry or related fields required.
 Bachelors in Chemistry, Material Science or Engineering with experience working in chemical laboratory environment preferred.
Ability to record and summarize experimental results in a scientific manner.
Proficient in the use Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point. Excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate to be able to work as a team member and also independently on multi-task assignments.
Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment and computers. Able to carry out laboratory activities and work in a safe manner. May be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
