Position: Regional Agricultural Stewardship Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN geographic location
Contract Term: 6 Weeks Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $35.00 - $45.00/hour

Regional Agricultural Stewardship Specialist
*Please note that this is a contract assignment and the position will start at 40 hours/week, and as the program is successful, the hours will decrease to less each week.*

Responsibilities: 
The Regional Stewardship Specialists will work closely with their local Herbicide Field Specialist to plan schedule and conduct the training meetings. The training meetings will take place up to and include the herbicide application season. After training meetings are completed for the year, the Regional Stewardship Specialists will assist with customer support, service calls and customer inquiries that may be received as the growing season progresses. Knowledge of crop production systems, especially soybeans is valuable to the position.

Qualifications:
Contractor will support listed geographic location, but will be travelling, therefore they must have their own car and a valid driver's license, and therefore a DMV check will be required.
Prior experience in an agricultural field, with competencies surrounding customer relations; input management and applications; adult teaching; and record keeping are highly desirable. This position will require strong communication skills; an ability to work independently; daily travel (with potential overnight stays); and moderate walking. 

Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years equivalent professional field experience is necessary. Equivalent experience would be working in the agricultural arena - consulting/advising; making recommendations; supervising field operations; communicating recommendations; strong written and verbal skills. Candidates who grew up on a farm, or have experience working in the Ag field are highly desired. Looking for a candidate with a cotton background.

Position requires advanced knowledge acquired by prolonged course of formal training, formal certification or formal degree. Performs assignments involving the identification, assessment and development of new scientific concepts and/or technologies to provide solutions to identified problems. Incumbents are fully qualified scientific, technical, or information personnel capable of managing scientific, technical, or information projects, coordinating with other professionals and support personnel to accomplish objectives. Defines approach to scientific, technical, or information problems, develops hypotheses.
