On-Board Companies has a new need for a driven HR Professional who is committed to the company’s continuous improvement philosophy in achieving its long term goals. The position will be responsible for HR administration and the HR management of internal employees who work for the corporate offices and remote employees housed at various client site locations throughout the United States. This position may require 20-25% travel to appropriately manage staff at our clients’ multiple sites/ facilities; facilitate in new client implementations; be the liaison for benefit open enrollment meetings for 401k and healthcare; as well as periodically travel to our home offices currently located in DE and NC.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel under the OBS and OBE businesses.
Plans and organizes activities of the program. Participates in developing OBS and OBE goals, objectives, and systems.
Periodically review applicable policies, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness.
Oversee and manage all state and federal administrative charges, including but not limited to: investigative interviews; data collection, attendance at hearings; cooperation with outside counsel; etc.
Conduct new-employee orientations as necessary; employee relations including but not limited to: counseling, performance improvement plans, complaints, concerns, investigative interpersonal issues, conflict on the floor, mediation, etc. and exit interviewing.
Manage performance, discipline, and terminations in a way that minimizes risk to the company.
Establishes and maintains OBS and OBE records and reports. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Facilitate Workshops for the OBS and OBE Management Team.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the program and services performed.
Experience and knowledge with Incident and Conflict Resolution is a must.
Keep the Director of HR informed on any and all issues relating to the administration of human resource issues within the OBS and OBE business. Establish and require adherence to company policies and procedures. Make note for any changes present to management team and update company policy.
Ensure that all necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, etc., are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Routinely review unemployment claims, Workman's Compensation claims, accidents, etc., pursuing special cases as warranted minimizing cost to the company and protecting the company's interest and position in each case.
Ensure that the company is in compliance with all legal requirements, city, county, state, and federal regulations, and industry directives relative to employment.
As a member of the Management Team, is aware of the general employee morale and will initiate whatever procedures necessary to improve and maintain an acceptable level, to include interviewing random employees on a routine basis to insure positive employee relations.
Ensure that the OBS and OBE Managers are kept abreast of all benefits and any changes thereof. Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
BASIC EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
Must have a minimum of 5+ years of related experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Coordinator, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Five (5) years' Human Resources experience in professional staffing and light industrial staffing or other work related environment is preferred. Additional Requirements:
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. On-Board does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (i.e. H-1B status). KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel and HRIS system.)
Experience in fast paced staffing environment preferred.
PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
