Position Summary:

The JJSC Academy Marketing & Communication Specialist II supports the JJSC Academy Knowledge Management Senior Manager with the coordination of Product Supply communication, knowledge and change initiatives across the JJSC. The Specialist will support the JJSC Academy Senior Manager with activities such as:
  • Developing and editing senior executive level presentations;
  • Managing graphic and knowledge management design development with external vendors;
  • Managing the development of, and editing copy for, stories written by an external copywriter;
  • Partnering with internal groups to develop and transform intranet sites into knowledge centers to align with the Knowledge Center Strategy;
  • Researching and deploying innovative communication tools;
  • Managing interactions with senior executives.
The role will also be responsible for setting up live and virtual meetings, managing an editorial calendar, sourcing and tracking communications, and gathering/analyzing metrics and analytics. The Specialist II will additionally develop and grow key relationships with a matrix of team members in order to drive the Product Supply Change, Knowledge and Communication Strategies.

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations, the Companies policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Develop and edit senior executive level PowerPoint presentations
Interact with, and provide services for, senior leaders
Work with copy writer to develop and edit JJSC wide copy and stories
Develop graphics and communication materials to support Product Supply
Work with external vendors and internal partners on graphics and knowledge center designs
Schedule and execute live and web-based meetings
Track copy, collect and analyze analytics and metrics and provide recommendations based on findings
Execute and track tactical and strategic deliverables
Establish and maintain effective business partner relationships

Education/Experience: A Bachelor s degree is preferred with a minimum of 3 years (5 years preferred) in communications, marketing, change management and/or relevant consulting experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools, including strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. General knowledge of systems, project management and business acumen skills preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required. Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as stellar interpersonal skills are necessary. Collaborative, customer-focused and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Results oriented with a demonstrated track record, strong problem-solving skills, sound time management skills, and a self-starter. Ability to navigate a complex matrixed organization.
