We are seeking a Product Supply Planner to fill a will be 3-month contract-to-hire role. Our client would consider someone without a degree for right background. Looking to Fill ASAP. Intermediate MS Excel skills required. First two weeks may be less than 40 hours due to training.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Position observes and learns about variability in demand and supply and chooses production strategies and inventory levels that consistently deliver case fill targets and waste targets
  2. The position collaborates across functions to build the relationships and communication flow so the position is aware of changes that affect the ability to deliver service & waste results (supplier readiness, demand, raw supply, or FG production/inventory outlook)
  3. Position participates in cross-functional process development and identifies the Product Supply options that are available to meet commercial and cost objectives.
  4. Positions receives raw requirements for manufacturing from Product Supply Planner and harvests products to support those requirements, inclusive of starting raw baby green inventories
  5. Ordering needs to produce inventory levels that enable manufacturing/pack-out of raw product into finished goods without breaks while keeping inventory lean so as to not expire
  6. Own & drive baby green scrap results through coordination / managing Raw receiving, quality, manufacturing, FG scheduling, harvest managers
  7. Participate in continuous improvement among the people who provide the demand inputs (FG)/requirements (baby greens, NP materials/packaging), who execute the production (suppliers/manufacturing) – plan, do, check/measure, adjust -> repeat
  8. Planner IIs expected to be capable of facilitating a group in process improvement
  9. Own investigation and resolution of all direct parked/blocked invoices within established workflow timelines.
  10. Manage sales order creation and shipment of ingredients needed by co-packers.
  11. The position is on call 24 hours a day, including weekends, in the event that emergencies occur
  12. Is Data Owner for assigned SAP Master Data elements and provides Master Data on time vs deadlines
  13. Preferred Candidate Qualifications

Summary of Job Description and requirements:

  1. Position deals with Excel data and requires Intermediate-to-Strong MS Excel skills on a daily basis, basic knowledge of data analysis is a must along with strong attention to detail
  2. Candidate should be familiar with intermediate excel knowledge such as VLOOKUP, pivot table and basic formatting
  3. Should have some experience with an ERP system, experience with SAP is a plus
  4. Position interacts with cross-functional teams from Supply chain & operations, prior experience in any supply chain field is preferred
  5. The position must be flexible with work hours including Saturday (on need basis)
  6. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred
  7. Position observes and learns about variability in raw ingredients' demand and chooses inventory levels that consistently deliver case fill targets
  8. Position creates purchase orders and stock transfer orders in SAP to trigger harvest and movement of inventory to maintain optimal level across the different warehouses
  9. Position will constantly monitor areas of waste to minimize the same, by refining the inventory levels without affecting the availability of production

 

Education and Experience

  1. College graduate/equivalent experience (5 years) +2-4 years work experience
  2. Agriculture Supply Chain experience required in growing, planning, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, or quality
  3. Excellent oral communication skills (to stakeholders across all levels)
  4. Analytical skills are needed to analyze requirements, diagnose drivers of defects/failures, and propose solutions.
  5. Need to be strong users of Excel and PowerPoint
  6. Planner IIs are expected to perform independent, accurate quantitative analyses, given goal or problem statement, that arrive at actionable conclusions. Planner IIs should be able to do analyses for problems not previously experienced.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Must enjoy heavy communication and be proficient in managing a high volume of input across all mediums (e-mails, text messages, voice calls/voicemails)
  2. Must be diligent – inaccuracy/sloppiness creates millions of wasted dollars per year
  3. Must be flexible and enjoy working in a constantly fluid environment – plans are developed and change constantly, never fully solidifying and working with others with varying communication styles, preferences, etc.
  4. Must be steady, dependable, and disciplined
  5. Must be fluent in English and Spanish - Preferred
