Immediate opening for an experienced SAP Functional Analyst to work with a major manufacturing client in the Lehigh Valley, PA market.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for requirements definition, application analysis and functional design of new solutions. A critical component of this role is to effectively work with the Air Products business area so that new/enhanced functionality and application changes can be implemented effectively. Another key responsibility of this position will be product and lifecycle management for SAP, SAP-integrated, and non-SAP service areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs configuration analysis for SAP Finance modules.
  • Resolves complex business requirements via SAP configured solutions.
  • Participates in all project stages with accountability for eliciting, validating and documenting business requirements which ensure "value-add” to the client.
  • Creates a testing strategy and ensuring all functionality is tested before production deployment.
  • Works with Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of the project throughout the change and release process.
  • Works closely with the PM to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.
  • Provides product/life cycle, vendor and contract management for supported applications.
  • Continuously drives excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability and lowering total costs.


Position Requirements/Technical Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 5+ years IT or business experience, with a focus on requirements analysis preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with related business activities within their functional expertise.
  • Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to lead workshops.
  • Strong vendor relationship and product management skills.
  • General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems.
