Job Title:  Telecom Billing Operations Manager

Role Purpose
  • Define, implement, lead and manage the Billing Operations for Telecom Wireless or Mobility service offering
  • Lead, direct and manage limited resources to accomplish billing operation objectives & metrics on time, within budget and to Customer expectations using standard billing operation tools, frameworks, and methodologies. Provide direct client interface and ensure service excellence delivery.
Experience and skills required
  • Must be a SME in telecom billing system operations
  • Must have minimum of 10+ years of hands on experience on telecom business operations for wireless business (pre and postpaid covering Voice, Data, SMS, MMS, VAS services) and minimum 3+ years of experience in leadership role in defining and implementation billing operations for wireless/mobility business
  • Must have proven experience and credibility in implementing successful large-scale billing operations with at least 2 large Telecom operator
  • Must have deep understanding of how large billing implementation operate and how operations supports business and operations objectives
  • Must have solid experience in managing an Billing IT operations environment including an understanding of ITIL principles and practices. Certification in ITIL will be an added advantage
  • Must have in-depth understanding of telecom wireless/mobile service offerings and related markets
  • Must have in-depth understanding of Amdocs Billing system
  • Work collaboratively with Customer, billing product vendor, inside and outside suppliers, and at multiple levels within the organization. Meet commitments and build trust. Develop positive working relationships. Ability to negotiate with vendors and partners to drive long-term beneficial outcomes.
  • Own, lead and manage aspects of billing operations: scope, deliverables, time frame, and cost. Manage the operations quality standards that are relevant to the billing operations and determines how to satisfy them within a Quality Management Plan.
  • Manage operations teams - organize, and manage the people resources that comprise the operations team. Ensure the right number of people with the right skills are engaged in performing operations tasks, in accordance with the schedule. Work with the team to review and resolve performance issues.
  • Proven and credible experience in telecom billing operations implementation and management covering following activities
    • Define, Implement and manage Billing operations for wireless or mobility service offerings
    • Define, implement and manage the business and IT processes, tasks and activities for billing operations
    • Effectively scopes billing operations requirements, processes, barriers and roadblocks to achieve objectives and goals
    • Defining and manage vendor performance and SLA
    • Manage all aspects of ITIL processes (Service Deck, Incident mgmt, Change mgmt, Release mgmt, App mgmt. Reporting etc) specific to Billing Operations
    • Manage daily, weekly and monthly job schedules and reporting
    • Trouble ticketing and escalations path
    • Revenue Assurance
    • Fraud Management
    • Performance management
    • Process improvements
    • Service Management.
