The SW Architecture and Development Manager is responsible to oversee the development of internal system platforms related to Network Element connectivity, Performance Management, Routing, number portability and a complete suite of DevOps tools that are deployed in the production environment.  In this role, he will also review and propose system architectures, manage software life cycle, project resources and ensure quality assurance criteria's are met for critical real time systems by working in tight collaboration with the QA lead. 
  • Single point of contact to senior management, internal customer managers, and project managers to provide status of current software development projects.
  • Be responsible of end-to-end delivery of release through the software development lifecycle
  • Work closely with on-shore/off-shore teams and establish communication processes for correct hand-off.
  • Elaborate architectures using cloud and hybrid infrastructure enabling high velocity deployments for Proof of concepts and production applications.
  • Work in tight collaboration with operations and product teams to provide necessary DevOps tooling to support present and future service needs
  • Provide support, documentation and training to Operations on new software version rollouts, tools and technologies.
  • Capacity and staff planning for new projects using software development tools such as Jira.
Promote Agile & Scrum development methodologies
Level Descriptor
  • B. Eng. or Computer Sciences or equivalent
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in SW development  
  • 5 years experience in management of software development teams
  • Experience in development of critical real time systems
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum environment
  • Experience developing software using cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google, etc)
  • Strong leadership skills, initiative & drive
  • Dynamic personality, team spirit and ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary work teams
  • Ability to adapt and operate effectively in a complex and ever-changing environment          
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written French and English
