SUMMARY of the FUNCTION/Role
Client's Electronic Maintenance Division is seeking 1 iOS developer to help build a mobile paging interface on mobile phones and tablets. The desired candidate will have previous iOS development experience, familiarity with audio processing on iOS, and an understanding of UX/UI concepts. In addition to demonstrating relevant coding experience, the candidate should also possess the ability to meet defined project goals and adhere to the project schedule. The candidate will work in collaboration with other engineers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, collaborative problem solving, elegant design, and a commitment to building quality products are essential traits in the selection process.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Help design and build iOS applications
  2. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  3. Collaborate with a team to define, design, and deploy relevant features
  4. Identify and correct bottlenecks and bugs
  5. Maintain code quality and organization


RiskS (required by Management)
  • The consultant will be based in an office environment. Occasional field visits will be required to validate operation and performance.
  • No labor will take place within 50' of the right of way. Observations may take place on the platforms.
  • No environmental risks anticipated.

Qualifications EXPERIENCE & eDUCATION
  • IOS development experience
  • Objective-C or Swift Coding experience
  • Experience with TCP Socket communications and programming
  • Experience with VoIP client sessions/programming
  • Experience with iOS UX/UI design
  • Experience with audio fundamentals in iOS (record, play, store & forward, and live audio)
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; a self-starter
