The Business Case Technologist will combine strong technical knowledge and business understanding to ensure feasibility of development and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of software systems. Basic knowledge of servers, databases, and client side technology, Cloud technology, augmented with solid understanding of costing technology solutions and IT chargeback to the business

Position involves the following responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases
o Work closely with counterparts in IT (Development, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security) to ensure technical solutions are aligned with business needs
o Serve as liaison between IT and business end – users
Develop expertise in both our business processes and technology solutions/offerings
Interface with infrastructure, database, development personnel to enable the following
o Contribute to the analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements
o Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
o Assist in creating business cases
o IT Cost estimation
Deconstruct user stories, requirements, workflows into estimable components
Must have the following
  • Strong knowledge and skills of MS Office package, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of various technologies (Distributed, Mainframe, Cloud, etc.)
  • Experience costing  out technology solutions
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a concentration in Information Systems/ IT Infrastructure
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a technical environment
  • Your technical expertise must be complemented by self motivation, strong communication skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of scripting language (VBA, JavaScript, etc.), SQL, Data management systems a plus
Technical Certification, e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, a plus
