Position Summary:

This position will be a member of the Advanced WiFi Solutions Team. This team is responsible for production and operations, of the Managed Services Advance WiFi Solutions products for Enterprise and MDU platforms.

The Advance WiFi Solutions Team supports Cisco ISR series routers, Cisco ASR1K, Cisco ASA series security devices, Cisco catalyst series switches, Meraki (routers, switches, and wireless access points), Nomadix Hospitality gateways (AG2400 - AG5900), Ruckus wireless controllers (Zone Director and VSZ), Ruckus T300, R500, R600 & R700 Client. Zebra T5 controllers and Zebra 5 series access points.

Essential Job Functions:

This position is responsible for operational installation readiness testing of properties, work and resolve Trouble Call Tickets (TC), Special Request Orders (SRO), monitoring tickets escalated from the NOC within Service Level Agreement (SLA) and the day to day network operations nationwide for Managed Services customers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Respond to and resolve Individual trouble tickets in Customer Networks to meet SLAs.
  • Troubleshooting of all routing, switching, security, and wireless services to return equipment or end user back into service.
  • Resolve and respond to network incidents and problems including afterhours support via on call rotation.
  • Identify and resolve Radius authentication and customer login issues
  • Troubleshoot network communication problems to resolve Layer 1 – 3 routing, switching, security, and wireless services.
  • Participate in projects that involve existing network infrastructure as required to support remediation or wellness programs
  • Participate in an established on call rotation
  • Work assigned shift patterns which include nights and weekend duties
  • Participate in a formal incident rapid response process for high priority incidents
  • Implement network change in the context of incident resolution, problem management and service requests.
  • Be aware of and follow ITIL network management change procedures
  • Work outside of normal business hours when required (scheduled maintenance, outage response, last minute urgent requests)

Job Requirements:

• 1 – 2 years of experience in Telecommunications
• 1 – 2 years in enterprise network design, implementation, and operations
• 1 – 2 years in Routing and switching
• Working knowledge of network documentation using MS Visio
• Strong oral and written skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Working familiarity in implementing and troubleshooting dynamic routing protocols: RIPv2 and RIPng, and OSPF
• Strong Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6
• Understanding of popular network communications protocols such as DHCP, DNS, RPC, HTTP, SNMP, and ICMP
• Familiarity with Ethernet and the surrounding technology such as Spanning Tree Protocol (IEEE 802.1w and 802.1d), Trunking (IEEE 802.1q)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Cisco CCENT or CCNA

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Travel Requirements:
• Travel < 5%
