Project Coordinator

Project Coordinator needed for a 6+ month contract with our client in Aliso Viejo, CA.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Provides key support to the project management team on one or more vital projects needed to create new products and features or support new capabilities and functions.
  • Projects may include elements related to business operations and technology.
  • Schedule requested meetings, support agenda creation and distribute agendas, and document and publish minutes.
  • Support project financials including updating spent-to-date, collecting new estimates and generating re-forecasts.
  • Maintain project plans by capturing task updates such as progress and completion dates, updating resources, updating work segment plans or performing other directed updates.
  • Maintain project calendars.
  • Update weekly status reports.
  • Maintain project repository and follow up on overdue deliverables and approvals.
  • Maintain and update tracking tools and logs including change control, issues logs, decision / action logs and risk management.
  • Follow up on outstanding updates to status, tracked activities, estimates and deliverables.
  • Distribute or route information per established processes or as directed.
  • Perform other project or program management support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • College degree.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a support role on operational and technology projects specifically managing project schedules, calendars and resource plans; supporting key meetings (scheduling, agenda distribution, minutes); maintaining project financials; updating status and progress; posting and storing materials and artifacts; and maintaining tracking tools and logs.
  • Excellent skills in the Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Very strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good experience in MS Project.
  • Good experience in administrating collaborative sites / tools such as SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, good review skills and a high degree of accuracy.
